It does look Batmany. They look like they're made out of stone which is unique (most robots are made of metal). The stony look what have been better in a smaller run down town. I like how it came out overall, I'm just picky.
I love the feeling of like, turn of the century modernism. It looks like something out of batman in a way. I like the automaton feel of it too, how they are all syncronized, at first I thought it might be more interesting if they had at least a little differntiation in their posing, but it gives it that feel of a very robotic obedience... if that makes any sense.
Though I'd have added it to favs if the title wasn't "protectors", cause I seem to like it more if it has a melancholy malicious intent. (My fav gallery are just artworks that personally affect me so... ).
So overall, I love this in its low-chromatic masterpiece. SPLENDID!!! Everytime I look at it, I fall in love.
Rather reminds me of 1940's art, war-deco. What is the effect that they used back then, gauche, I think it was called? Perhaps a retro cover for Popular Science. Rustic and old school appeal. Definately cool.
